Adoption Form

We are a hobby breeder of AKC Labrador Retrievers located in beautiful Northern Michigan. We raise Chocolate, Black, and Yellow (Light to Fox Red). Our puppies are family raised with lots of love and attention. Our adults are evaluated for temperament, health tested and OFA hip, elbow, and eye certified prior to breeding to insure we are doing everything we can to produce healthy and sound puppies. Our goal is to improve the breed and we strive to produce a loving and great temperament, which is the hallmark of the breed. All of our puppies are wonderful family companions and a true best friend. Many of our puppies are service dogs for special needs children. We take pride in the joy each puppy brings to their new family.

As a responsible breeder, we want to make every effort to get to know our potential puppy families well before puppies are ready to go home. Adoption of our Labrador puppies is by approval only. Once approved, we accept $200 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot on our waiting list for your choice of sex and color. We keep our waiting list in order based on date deposit is placed. You will be contacted when choice of color and sex are available at which time you can choose if timing is good for you or transfer to next available. Deposit is transferable for 18 months or until we have desired color and sex available. A remaining deposit of $500 is due when we have a puppy available for you. Picking of your puppy is done in person at the time of pickup, in order of deposit. Sutton Labrador Retrievers reserves first right for pick of any litter.

We limit visiting until puppies have been vaccinated to protect their health. All puppies have several deworming's, 1st set of shots, vet visit, and go home with a puppy pack including food, blanket w/ mom/littermates' scent, toys and treats. Dew claws are not removed.

Our puppies are placed as pets with AKC limited papers. Adoption fees are $1700-$2500. Puppies come with a lifetime guarantee against common diseases known in Labs and 26 month written hip guarantee. Sutton Labrador Retrievers has first right of refusal in the event of a family needing to rehome said puppy/dog.

I understand that once form is submitted and approved a non refundable deposit of $200 is required to be added to waiting list. Waiting list is kept in order of form/deposit submission. I understand that waiting time for a puppy is an estimate, there are no gaurantees on timing as we cannot control heat cycles, color/sex and size of litters.
